Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is an item that will make certain Pokemon develop. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc, and is often offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be placed in weapons, armor trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests based on the kind of item upgrader kit.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be placed into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to provide bonus effects or attributes when the equipment is used. Upgrade components are only available on equipment that has an upgrade slot. Most upgrade components also require that the item to be upgraded is at a certain level. Some upgrade items also have special visual effects when they are applied to an equipment piece. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, purchased from karma merchants or traded with other players on the Trading Post, taken from equipment, or acquired as rewards in game.

There are different upgrade components, each with various bonuses. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions can be used with any kind of equipment; they provide smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions are able to be used on non-amulet or legendary ascended items, while enrichments can be utilized on certain ascended back equipment. Most upgrade components can be replaced if they are inserted into an item, but doing so can destroy the previous upgrade. There are exceptions for glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and enchantments, which are able to be removed and reinserted freely.

Insignias and enchantments will show their names on the hover display of the item while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their names to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g. an Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will display the number of upgrades that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, like ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to look up and insert these unique characters as well as normal glyphs, such as em dashes, en dashes registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides a character with a boost in primary stats. It also comes with up to four secondary stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase which is multiplied by other bonuses, except for Speed Glyphs that directly increase the hero’s speed.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you own that can be applied to the item upgrades you have selected. Be aware that only the correct kind of Glyph can be applied to the selected item in that each weapon, jewelry or armor piece can have an array of different Glyphs.

You can upgrade your Glyphs by finishing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult a dungeon is, the greater Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph has reached level 15, it can be upgraded using the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board grows by one node for every 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.

Once a glyph has been leveled up to the desired level You can activate it by selecting it and then clicking the "enchant" button. The resulting glyph will offer the stated bonus and also boost the other nodes that are within its range on the Paragon Board. It's crucial to place glyphs in the Best item upgrade locations to benefit your build, and this is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs could also provide double bonus when certain conditions are satisfied.

If you're having trouble finding a particular glyph, click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to show the panel in a variety of different views. Each view shows the Glyphs in different fonts. You can reduce the number of glyphs by choosing an option below "Entire Font". For example, punctuation only displays punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the options to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling involves establishing an account with a brand new username in order to increase your chances of obtaining a character or weapon you want. This can be done to assist you in gaining more experience or to obtain better loot, like a better weapon for your current character. Sets

A set is an object collection having two common attributes (like the number or eggs in a dozen or the members of a group). Sets can be used to perform operations such as union, intersection, and difference.

Upgrades make a set more effective than it was prior to. This means that weapons and armor will have a higher defense and lower strength requirements.

Upgrades can bring items that are popular from single sets to the same level as those in higher-end sets. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to an Elite Spired helmet will increase the defense by 217 to 321 and reduce the strength and requirements for level to an achievable range.

However it's important to remember that not all set items are suitable candidates for upgrading. Some sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield, a spec's item or Naj's Puzzler staff are already exceptional and elite in their own right and do not need upgrading. Certain items, like Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are used frequently may require an upgrade to boost their performance. For such items, it could be worth the extra expense to upp them.
